Our field trip (which, incidentally was Caprock's very first field trip) took place on Friday, December 14th. We took a group of kids to the Grand Junction Symphony's annual Kinder Concert. This is done each year with varying themes and musical selections. This year, the title was: Magic at the Symphony and the orchestra featured illusionist Lyn Dillies. Ms. Dillies is very well-known in the fileld of visual illusion and magic and is also a musician herself. Many schools from the district attended the performances (they always do two showings to make sure all the kids have a chance to attend). We had several parents and teachers go along as drivers and chaperones and everything went smoothly. The kids, and the adults, really enjoyed it! The illusions were great, the music was phenomenal, and it was nice to go out in the public eye to represent our school. I'm looking forward to our next field trip....whenever that is!
