K-6th Grade Basketball
Our K-6 Basketball Program is offered every winter for Caprock Academy students to grow physically, socially, and morally. We invite your student to join this 8-week program to play and learn with his/her peers. This program consists of 8 practices and six games against other Caprock teams.

Please note that all practices and games are held on Saturday's at Caprock Academy.
Kindergarten - 5th Grade Recreational Program Dates:
Fee: $55/student
- Week 1 - January 11th: Practice and Jerseys
- Week 2 - January 18th: Practice and Pictures
- Week 3 - January 25th: Practice and Game
- February 1st - No Basketball due to High School Games
- Week 4 - February 8th: Practice and Game
- February 15th - No Basketball due to President’s Day Weekend
- Week 5 - February 22nd: Practice and Game
- Week 6 - March 1st: Practice and Game
- Week 7 - March 8th: Practice and Game
- Week 8 - March 15th: Game and Medals
5th & 6th Grade Competitive Program Dates:
Fee: $60/student
- Week 1 - January 11th: Practice and Jerseys

- February 1st - No Basketball due to High School Games

- Week 7 - March 8t: Practice and Playoffs
- Week 8 - March 15th: Tournament and Trophies (No Practice, 3 Games, Times 9:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Need to Know Information:
- K-1st: 15 min. practice & 30 min. game
- 2nd-5th Recreational: 30 min. practice & 30 min. game
- 5th-6th Competitive: 45 min. practice & 45 min. game
- During practice time, ONLY players are permitted in the gym. For practice to be as productive as possible, we ask that all spectators stay out of the gym until the games begin.
- While you are on the Caprock Academy campus, you are responsible for your children who are not playing basketball; siblings and other children who are not players must be supervised at all times.
- Outside chairs are not permitted.
- Sign-Up Genius link for volunteer opportunities other than coaching will be sent out with team rosters.
Registration & Payment Information
K-5 Recreation $55
5th & 6th Grade Competitive $60
All fees include a jersey and a medal/trophy.
- Complete the K-6 Basketball Registration Form.

Online Registration and Payment is Due by December 5th. Late forms will be charged a $10 late fee.
*You may pay at the front office, over the phone, or online with a credit card.

*Please make checks payable to Caprock Academy with “K-6 Basketball” and your students name in the memo.
If your student would like to participate, but cannot afford the fee, please complete the Scholarship Request Form on our website.
Interested in Coaching or Volunteering
You may earn 10-14 parent volunteer hours by coaching your child’s team. Please remember that this program is not possible without parent volunteers, and you do not need extensive knowledge of basketball to be a coach.
